Jessica's mixed martial art as well as horseback riding skills and athletic abilities enable her to pull off stunts embodying the strong woman character. She has studied boxing and muay Thai as well as trains at the gym for mixed martial arts in Australia. Jake Stormoen, who was working on Season 4 of the show, met a stray puppy that wandered around on sets. The dog in question was actually an abandoned puppy who was living on a setting. Jessica was the foster mom to two puppies.
