Ashley was in the character in the role of Jessica Finch as part of the Judy Moody Family Comedy, Not Bummer Summer. Ashley was recognized further when she was her character was chosen to play the characters of a variety of bears in the Oscar-winning animated adventure comedy Ernest & Celestine which starred Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson Pauline Brunner. The film won 14 of the 29 nominations it received, which included an Oscar.
